  3. I love these photos I am a natural girl that rocks a fro but planning to loc my hair in September. I love that there are role models to look up to with beautiful locs like Lalah Hathaway, however formally dread heads who have inspired me were India Arie, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Goapele, and when ther ALL cutthem off I think it effected us who looked up to their locs. Thank God for Lalah and Ledisi keeping it going!!

  4. @Live4Lyfe - Thanks so much! I know what you mean about our former loc headz! I hate it when I see someone else combing their locs out, especially when I've just started the journey, but there is a time and a season for everything. I just get so encouraged by the pics, though!

  6. You should definitely add Somi, she's an African jazz singer. Powerful voice with these long, elegant tendrils. She is so ridiculously beautiful.
